2021 NAACS Recap

On January 30th,  Wauna La-Mon’tay Lodge held its annual NAACS event. NAACS stands for Northwest Arrowman Arts and Ceremonies Seminar. This event is all about developing new Arrowmen into ceremonialists for the lodge, while also providing fun and fellowship. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NAACS was held online, thus becoming Cyber-NAACS!

Over 150 participants enjoyed many awesome classes focused on all aspects of ceremonies. Several hands-on workshops, such as making obsidian knives, leather bags, and wood whistles, were also offered. We enjoyed a lodge officer Q&A to talk about all things OA, with our special guest, Section Chief Dirk Smelser, joining us and providing some good insight.

Our event encouraged the growth of ceremony teams in chapters, and gave chapter leaders useful tools for developing their ceremony teams.
