2022 Tsisqan Service Weekend Recap

Tsisqan Lodge held their Service Weekend at Camp Baker on April 20-22. The annual event, free for dues-paid lodge members to attend, is one of the largest single service events held at the camp each year.

This year, over 60 Arrowmen gathered for the event as they cheerfully served the council and helped prepared the Camp Baker for another busy summer of Scouting adventures, contributing over 500 hours of service in the process.

Projects completed and worked on include:

  • Window replaced in Gratke building
  • Old health lodge stripped, wood salvaged and prepared for demo
  • Hazard trees dropped in camp
  • Large brush pile and clean up at archery range
  • Pavilion in Jim Vitus campsite pressure washed and prepared for painting
  • Propane tank pressure washed and prepared for mural
  • Installation of camp wifi infrastructure and equipment
  • Firewood cut and stacked at the dining hall
  • 3 new picnic tables built for Tsiltcoos campsite
  • 4 new benches build for Tsiltcoos campsite

On Saturday evening, two Arrowmen sealed ther membership by becoming Brotherhood members.

After a very successful Service Weekend, the lodge leadership now turns its focus toward the next event, Spring Induction Weekend, where they will welcome new members into the lodge and induct the 2022 Vigil Honor class.
