This year we have a lot of awesome events to look forward to. Each lodge hosts their own events that all have their own unique features and I’ll discuss what those are in this article.
Lo La’Qam Geela
Spring Fellowship is a weekend of brotherhood and fellowship filled with fun activities for all Arrowmen and a great way to kick off the year.
Each August, Lo La’Qam Geela hosts its annual service project at Crater Lake National Park. The weekend event of trail maintenance, fun and fellowship is always a highlight.
Lo La’Qam Geela closes out the year with Fall Fellowship. The weekend is full of activities, the annual banquet, and the election of new lodge officers.
Wauna La-Mon’tay
Wauna Inductions and Ceremonies Conference (WICC) is a weekend of fun and fellowship at Camp Meriwether. You will have the opportunity to learn how to be a better ceremonialist, Elangomat, or Induction Master! There will be tons of engaging workshops and classes for anyone looking to join in.
Rendezvous is Wauna’s spring fellowship event and every year in March, it is held at Camp Meriwether. It has lots of fun activities and trainings for you to enjoy! You will have the opportunity to check out the shooting ranges and even the climbing tower!
Summit is Wauna’s fall fellowship event in October. It is also at Camp Meriwether. Much like Rendezvous, it has Camp Meriwether’s facilities open for you all to use!
Tsisqan
Workshop Weekend will provide Arrowmen with the tools and skills to be better, more responsible campers and better support their units and chapters.
Service Weekend is a great opportunity to give back to a camp and do some service! On Saturday, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects around Camp Baker to improve the camp and help prepare it for the summer camping season. I guarantee there will be a project for everyone! Service Weekend often provides youth an opportunity to work and learn about a trade skill such as carpentry, or electrical from knowledgeable adults.
In October, Tsisqan holds its Annual Fellowship event at Camp Baker. This event allows you to have access to all of Camp Baker’s activities! There is a lot of fun to be had there and this year, Tsisqan is celebrating its 80th Anniversary!
Section G16 Conclave
In September, our section will gather at Camp Baker for our annual conclave! This is a fantastic opportunity to gather with people from all across our section. There will be more information about conclave in the coming weeks!
National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC)
NOAC is our national event that takes place every two years. There are activities and trainings that will keep you engaged throughout the entire five-day event! NOAC is something every Arrowman should experience even if you’ve gone before. There is something new every time and it is the peak of what Scouting and the OA has to offer. There are so many opportunities that go along with NOAC, and I encourage you to register with your lodge’s contingent so you don’t miss out.
All lodges in our section have plenty of awesome events for you to attend. I encourage you all to attend not only your lodge’s events, but also to go the extra step and attend another lodge’s event this year! I look forward to seeing you at one of these events!
