Lo La’Qam Geela Lodge held its annual Spring Fellowship April 12-14 at Camp Latgawa. The theme for this year’s fellowship was Hawaiian. Naturally, this theme opened up a lot of opportunities for a unique fellowship.
On Friday night, the participants of the fellowship enjoyed an Elvis movie night, in which Blue Hawaii was shown to get everyone in the Hawaiian spirit. Saturday brought its own exciting opportunities such as a pool for participants to cool off in, a hula hoop contest, and at the end of the day participants treated themselves to a delicious feast with an actual roasted pig! There were several guests from other lodges at Lo La’s Hawaiian fellowship including our venerated section chief, Mason Lewallen, our beloved section vice chief, Jackson McCullough, the lodge chiefs of both Tsisqan and Wauna La-Mon’tay, and others, all of whom were excited to attend Lo La’s convivial event.
This year’s Spring Fellowship definitely marks yet another successful event for Lo La’Qam Geela Lodge, and I for one cannot wait for next year’s!
