This year’s Spring Inductions for the Wauna La-Mon’tay Lodge have been an enormous success! Our first induction, at our beachside Camp Meriwether, ushered in a whopping 140 new Arrowmen to the Order of the Arrow. Soon thereafter, 86 Scouters were inducted into our lodge at Camp Baldwin. Finally, 52 candidates joined the lodge at Camp Pioneer.
At each induction, there was a team of leaders who worked tirelessly to make their induction a success. Ethan P. led the Meriwether Induction, Chase C. captained the Baldwin Induction, and Juan Carlos V. directed the Pioneer Induction. Beyond the leadership team, which was in charge of leading and planning the induction, there were also dozens of other volunteers including cooks, elangomats, and ceremonialists. Without the hard work of all of the volunteers, including the youth leadership, these inductions could never have happened.
Looking forward, Wauna La-Mon’tay’s last induction of the year will be on September 20-22 at Camp Lewis. I hope to see all Wauna members there, ready to help out and welcome in another group of new members, and ultimately make Wauna’s fall induction a success!
