NOAC 2024 Recap

This summer, Arrowmen from across the nation met at CU Boulder for the National Order of the Arrow Conference. This event is seen by many as the absolute pinnacle of Scouting, and nearly 200 Scouts from across our section were there to see it.

This year’s theme was “Seek New Heights,” and the conference encouraged all of us to be ambitious, see what we can do in our lives for ourselves and everyone around us. Beyond the beautiful Rocky Mountains that surrounded us, this theme ties in so much to the current state of our Scouting lives, and gives everyone a deep moment of reflection on how we can Seek New Heights.

Our Arrowmen were given the opportunity to experience everything from scuba diving to live concerts throughout the week, as well as training from national leaders on how to improve our local units, chapters, and communities. Between Adventure Central, ACES Village, the Boulder Bash, the Elevate Festival, and so much more, there was truly something for all Scouts at NOAC.

Besides the countless activities, our three contingents and staff all met up on Thursday evening for our own section-wide gathering. It was great seeing Arrowmen from our chunk of the nation share all of their experiences throughout the week, and I can’t wait to see everyone again at conclave. But be prepared, I’m sure they will come with hundreds of patches from NOAC to trade.

NOAC won’t be back until 2027, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be excited. I’m sure it will be even better than this year, and I hope to see even more representation and spirit from Section G16.
