Graphic Design Lead

About This Position

The Graphic Design Lead is responsible for overseeing all branding and graphic design projects. They ensure the production of high-quality visual content for section publications and special projects, while also providing guidance and support to the design team members. The Graphic Design Lead plays a key role in maintaining and promoting the section’s branding and styling guidelines.

Reports to: Comms Team Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign projects to team members as necessary.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to designers as needed to maintain quality standards.
  • Work closely with designers to ensure timely completion of projects, managing workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Review and update section branding guidelines in collaboration with team leadership.
  • Develop branding guidelines for special events and initiatives as required.
  • Approve all graphic design projects for branding compliance and overall quality.
  • Assist in onboarding new team members, providing training and support as necessary.
  • Attend and report at all monthly team meetings, contributing insights and updates on graphic design projects.
  • Collaborate with content writers to assign complementary duties and ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Adhere to the Section G16 code of conduct, team policies and procedures, and the Scout Oath and Law.
  • Ensure compliance with all Section G16 and Order of the Arrow branding and styling guidelines.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment of new team members.
  • Serve as a positive role model and representative of the section in all interactions both online and offline.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Comms Team Lead.
