About This Position
Mobile App Team Members collaborate closely with the web team, content teams, and other volunteers to build, develop, and manage the conclave mobile app.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile event and gain valuable experience in mobile app development withing a collaborative team setting.
Reports to: Comms Team Lead
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the web and content teams to design, develop and maintain the conclave mobile app before and during conclave.
- Implement new features and enhancements based on user feedback and team requirements.
- Ensure the mobile app and related content aligns with all section and conclave branding guidelines.
- Conduct regular testing and troubleshooting to maintain app functionality and performance.
- Provide technical support during conclave and assist attendees with app-related inquiries.
- Process content and feature request promptly following team procedures and workflows.
- Engage with conclave attendees in a friendly and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other comms staff and conclave leadership.
- Adhere to the Section G16 code of conduct and the Scout Oath and Law.
- Serve as a positive role model and representative of the section in all interactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Comms Team Lead.
Special Qualifications
Volunteers in this position should be “tech-savvy” and have some experience or knowledge of the following:
- Android and/or iOS mobile devices
- App design principles, user interface, and user experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with tight deadlines and sometimes high levels of pressure.
