Summer is fast approaching, and school is coming to an end. First, I want to take a moment to give a huge congratulations to all the class of 2021 for their hard work and their accomplishments this year. You’ve worked hard all year despite a pandemic and unusual circumstances. We are very proud of every single one of you and we are excited to see you take the next step in your life! Where will you go next?
In Scouting, summer is an exciting season! Each council is offering a variety of activities and camps throughout the summer, and the OA is also offering some exciting programs. You can see all of the summer programs and activities planned on our website at sectionw1s.org. We will be updating our website as we have new programs scheduled.
The section is getting ready for our conclave! We just had a COC call on May 27th, going over committee plans and our goals for this year. We’re still observing the COVID situation and following guidelines from local and state authorities. Though we still do not have a clear idea of how our conclave will work, I’m confident that we can deliver another amazing conclave this September.
