Social Media Adviser

About This Position

The Social Media Adviser supports the Social Media Lead, platform managers, and platform support members in their duties. 

Reports to: Comms Team Adviser

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Social Media Lead in the completion of their duties, assisting with strategy development, content creation, and scheduling.
  • Assist social media team members in completing tasks, offering guidance and feedback as needed.
  • Contribute to the community management efforts across all social media platforms.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Lead to manage login access to all section social media accounts, ensuring security and compliance with team policies.
  • Approve all social media content for quality and to ensure it is informative, engaging, and aligned with the section’s goals.
  • Facilitate collaboration among team members and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Attend all team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Adhere to the Section G16 code of conduct, team policies and procedures, and the Scout Oath and Law.
  • Ensure compliance with all Section G16 and Order of the Arrow branding and styling guidelines.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment of new team members.
  • Serve as a positive role model and representative of the section in all interactions both online and offline.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Comms Team Adviser.
