Videographer

About This Position

Videographers are responsible for creating captivating video content of events and activities within the section. They will work closely with other videographers and photographers to fulfill video content requests, special projects, and ensure timely editing and uploading of videos.

Reports to: Visual Media Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Captures video footage of events they attend
  • Works on video content requests and special projects as assigned by the visual media lead.
  • Edits video content so it is ready for use
  • Uploads video footage and projects to the team archive.
  • Follows all team operating procedures and project workflows and meets all deadlines
  • Attends and participates in all team meetings
  • Adheres to the Section G16 code of conduct, all team policies and procedures, and the Scout Oath and Law
  • Adheres to all Section G16 and Order of the Arrow branding and styling guidelines
  • Promotes active recruitment of new team members
  • Is a positive role model and representative of the section
  • Maintains regular communication with the visual media lead
  • Other duties as assigned by the visual media lead

Special Qualifications

Candidates should have their own videography equipment (a phone camera is acceptable for most projects). Some videography equipment and video editing software may be provided by the team.
